Cane Island is one of the newest and upcoming master-planned communities in Katy. Located in north Katy, the biggest draw to this community is the 3-minute drive to I-10, a commuters paridise! Ambassador
One of the first greetings you will receive on Cane Island is a welcome from their Ambassador, Hub. Hub is a lovable yellow retriever that greets visitors in the office. Residents can see him going on walks around the vegetable garden and checking on other common areas. Hub has his own special grassy area and dog house right outside the main office and resides with his owner at night within the Cane Island community. Hub sets the tone for this family-friendly neighborhood with his friendly greetings and tail wags!
Resort-Style Amenities
Cane Island is packed with well planned amenities for its residents. The resort-style pool is serene and inviting. Personal cabanas line the perimeter of the sleekly designed pool area. One end of the pool provides a shaded, shallow pool for young swimmers, while the other end houses a shallow play structure, complete with slides, a dump bucket, and plenty of water spouts for hours of entertainment.
After swimming, Cane Island residents can enjoy a dinner at the on-site restaurant located in the common green area. The Oaks Kitchen specializes in American cuisine with a slight upscale twist. This restaurant provides a wide range of choices on its menu as well as a variety of wines and kids options.
The Conservatory is a unique feature of Cane Island. This large structure has walls made of glass and can be used by residents to host parties or large gatherings. The inside of The Conservatory is filled with multiple seating areas and vertical flower gardens.
Another unique feature to Cane Island is a large treehouse located in the main common area. Residents can climb one area of the treehouse to get a birds eye view of the area or relax in one of the rocking chairs located on the upper levels. The Ambassador Suite is a luxury cottage built into the treehouse and can be used by residents for an over night staycation.
Cane Island has its own vegetable garden with tons of fresh tomatoes, lettuce, herbs, and other delicious treats. Residents can be seen stopping by the garden on their way home from work to pick fresh produce to use for dinner.
Fitness
Cane Island has a state of the art fitness center that is open to residents 24/7. This two story fitness center provides an array of cardio and weight machines. Showers at the fitness center are stocked with toiletries for a quick rinse on the way to work.
A separate yoga studio looks out onto the lap pool and also provides a closet full of yoga mats, weight sets, and anything else residents could need for a complete workout. This technology filled yoga studio provides residents with an easy to use automated, extra large, drop-down TV screen that plays Fitness On Demand videos whenever you are ready to workout. The yoga studio also houses instructor lead classes that are scheduled every week.
Community Clubs
Cane Island has a variety of way to get involved in the community. Cane Island property management provides monthly events to bring the neighborhood together. In the past they have organized events such as Crafts and Crawfish, Cane Island Car Show, and Wild West Brew Fest. Community clubs have also been organized such as a running club, foodies club, book club, bunco, gardening, ladies fitness club, and crafters club.
Schools
Another draw to Cane Island that the entire community is zoned to premier Katy ISD schools with its residents attending Katy High School. Katy High School football games are often played on a mobile screen in the common area. Support for local schools and Katy High School is felt through this community. A future elementary school is scheduled to be built adjacent to Cane Island neighborhood.
