Typhoon Texas Water Park is another large Katy attraction with a multitude of twisty water slides, lazy river, wave pool, childrens area, and lots of room to enjoy lunch. GlowZone is a newer attraction to Katy, giving kids the opportunity to try their hand at bumper cars, a ropes course, wall climbing, mini-golf, and a ninja warrior course. iRace is also a newer Katy attraction, housing state of the art GoKart Racing and also including bowling, billiards, and laser tag. There are an infinite number of playgrounds in Katy, one of the biggest being Mary Jo Peckham Park, which houses a large play structure modeled after a train, a large covered area for having lunch, and a duck pond in the adjacent area to the playground.

Adult events and nightlife are not lost in the suburbs. Katy continues to expand options for couples and singles. No Label Brewery is located near the original Katy rice silos. No Label produces and sells their local beers on tap in a laid back, friendly taproom, with lots of room for food trucks. La Centerra is a local retail center located in the heart of the Cinco Ranch neighborhood. La Centerra is home to Alamo Draft House, Trader Joe’s, a wide range of restaurants from Sushi to Mexican, and clothing retailers. Local Bar and Bar Louie are two newer additions to Katy that have an fun and extensive drink menu.
